This is the almost exclusive consumption of fruit, and here s an example of the Hollywood Week: Day 1, pineapples from morning to evening (a fruit every 2 hours), 2nd day, papaya or apples in the morning, pineapple for lunch, apples or mangoes evening 3rd day, apples or kiwi fruit in the morning, midday pineapples, apples and kiwifruit evening 4th day, watermelon or raspberries; 5th day watermelons in the morning, midday apricots, blueberries or blackcurrants evening 6th days, prunes in the morning, midday pineapple, watermelon evening 7th day, watermelons or apples from morning to evening (a fruit every 2 hours).

Then the following week, we have to reintroduce vegetables, bread and starchy foods to re the body to a more balanced diet, including fish, milk and white meat the following week.
Hollywood system is effective

If effectiveness is measured by the figure dropping rapidly on the scales, then yes, this system is quite effective because the weight loss is dramatic in the first week. But on health, we can very quickly become disastrous!
Advantages and disadvantages of the Hollywood

But what are the advantages and disadvantages of this method? Petit panorama:

Advantages: As the only requirement is to eat nothing but fruit and fruit, the Hollywood is very simple to follow. Sharply reducing the consumption of meat and other foods, it causes the body in a depurative, ie that it "describes" the body.

Disadvantages: They are numerous, because that regime is not based on any scientific truth and patient participation is nil. It involves virtually the same side effects and adverse fasting being completely unbalanced: deficiencies in protein, calcium, essential fatty acids, fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) ... The body is in a perfect state of malnutrition (muscle wasting, fatigue, anemia ...), with a random weight loss (especially for the benefit unfortunately muscles) and the risk of bowel irritation due to excess dietary fiber. The scheme still very monotonous, it often causes of eating disorders, the cravings and compulsions ...
